Wine Glass Drying Rack KOHLER K-8628-CHR Charcoal Folding Organizer

Description

Product Overview

The KOHLER K-8628-CHR wine glass drying rack is a thoughtfully engineered solution for anyone who values both the preservation of delicate stemware and the aesthetic of a well‑organized kitchen. Constructed from high‑quality tempered glass with a sophisticated charcoal finish, the rack provides a stable platform that supports six standard‑size wine glasses or four larger, oversized glasses up to ten inches tall. Its modern design incorporates a unique pillow‑pattern base that creates natural channels for air to circulate, ensuring that each glass dries quickly and evenly after washing. The dimensions of 9.25″ deep, 11.25″ wide, and 11″ high make it compact enough to fit comfortably inside most kitchen cabinets, yet spacious enough to keep your most prized glasses upright and protected. The rack requires no assembly, and its fold‑away mechanism allows it to collapse flat for effortless storage when not in use, making it an ideal space‑saving accessory for small apartments, busy households, or professional culinary environments.

Usage

Designed for everyday use, this drying rack excels in a variety of kitchen scenarios. After hand‑washing or dishwasher cycles, simply place your wine glasses on the rack, allowing the pillow‑pattern to guide water away from the stems and onto the glass surface where it can evaporate without leaving streaks. The rack’s sturdy glass construction can withstand the weight of full glasses, making it suitable for both casual dinner parties and formal wine tastings. Because the rack folds flat, it can be stored in a cabinet, pantry, or even a utility closet, freeing countertop space for food preparation. Its charcoal finish not only resists fingerprints and smudges but also complements a wide range of kitchen décor styles, from sleek contemporary to industrial chic. Whether you are a home entertainer, a wine enthusiast, or a professional chef, the KOHLER drying rack provides a reliable, hygienic, and visually appealing way to keep your stemware ready for the next pour.

FAQ

Can the rack hold stemless glasses as well as traditional stemware?

Yes, the pillow‑pattern base is designed to support both stemmed and stemless glasses. The open layout allows water to drain away from any type of glass, and the sturdy glass surface can safely hold the weight of larger, stemless wine glasses without tipping.

Is assembly required to set up the drying rack?

No assembly is needed. The rack arrives fully assembled and ready to use straight out of the box. Simply unfold the rack, place it on a flat surface or inside a cabinet, and you are ready to start drying your glasses.

How does the folding mechanism work, and will it affect the rack’s stability?

The folding mechanism uses discreet hinges built into the glass frame that allow the rack to collapse flat without compromising its structural integrity. When unfolded, the hinges lock securely, providing a stable platform that can support the full weight of loaded glasses. The design has been tested for durability, ensuring that repeated folding and unfolding will not weaken the rack over time.

What is the recommended cleaning method for the rack itself?

The rack can be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth and a mild detergent if needed. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may scratch the glass surface. For routine maintenance, simply wipe the rack dry after each use to keep it looking its best.

Does the charcoal finish fade or discolor with regular use?

The charcoal finish is a high‑quality, heat‑resistant coating that is designed to retain its color and sheen over years of use. It resists fading from exposure to sunlight and does not discolor from typical kitchen activities, ensuring the rack remains a stylish addition to your space.
